Starting Up Again!!

Hey guys,

I know it has been a long time since the last post, but I am going to put more effort into my blogs. So much was going at the end of last year: my cousin got married, I had so many family members come visit, university assignments as well working, so I do apologise for the inconsistency in my posts.

Anyway, I am back and hopefully you’ll enjoy my new material!

Sometimes all you need is a fresh start, to think of bigger and better ideas!



Managing Stress

Hey guys,

Students have to deal with a lot of stress. Sometimes it can be a good thing as it gets you motivated but 99% of the time, it isn’t.

Stress can be have a huge impact on the quality of life. It can make you feel overwhelmed, anxious and irritable. If you learn how to manage your stress, it can improve your well being.

There are many ways to deal with stress and here are some of my methods:

1) Get Moving 

Exercise. It has been proven to release endorphins that make you feel good. So work out and if you aren’t a fan of working out, go for a walk.

2) Socialise 

Locking yourself in a house and stressing about how much you have to do won’t help anybody, so meet up with friends. It could turn out to be a good therapy session and friends can always help put things in perspective which in turn can help you calm down. Everybody could do with a bit of laughter and when you’re with friends, that’s probably all you’re doing.

3) Go outside 

Who said studying had to be done indoors. If the weather is nice, do work outside. The fresh air really does help get you focused and being in the sun, naturally makes you more cheerful.

4) Listen to Music 

If you are feeling really stressful, put your favourite song on and just listen. You don’t even need to think about anything because you probably know all the words. So just sit back and listen to your song on full blast.

5) Be positive 

Nothing is worse than surrounding yourself with negativity. Stressful situations can put a lot of negativity in your mind but if you overcome the negativity with positivity then you are already half way there. Don’t fill you mind with “I can’t”, fill it with “I can”.

6) Acceptance 

Accept that sometimes you can’t control everything. if things are out of your hands, the why waste time stressing about them? Focus on what you can control and how you are going to deal with it.

So these are my methods to help keep my stress under control.
